Your Account

Signing in

Open any application in your environment and you'll be taken to the platform sign-in page. Sign in once and you're signed in everywhere — all of your environment's applications share the same session.

Getting your first password

Your account is created for you with your email address on record, but with no password. How you set the first one depends on how your environment is configured, and the sign-in page tells you which applies:

  • The sign-in page shows Forgot password? — in most environments this is how you set your first password, not only how you recover one. Choose it, enter your username or email address, and a message arrives at your registered address with a link. Follow the link and choose your password. The link works once and only for a few minutes, so open it promptly; if it has expired, request another from the same place.
  • There is no such link — your operator gives you a temporary password through a separate channel. Sign in with it and you're asked to choose your own straight away.

Either way, your password must be at least 12 characters with upper case, lower case, and a digit.

No message arrived?

Check your junk folder first — the message comes from the platform's own address, not from a person. It is only ever sent to the address on your account, so if nothing arrives after a couple of tries, that address may be wrong or missing: use your organisation's support route to have it corrected. You cannot change it yourself.

Two-factor authentication

In secure (SDE) environments your first sign-in also asks you to set up two-factor authentication: scan the QR code with an authenticator app (FreeOTP, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or similar) and enter the code it shows. From then on, sign-in asks for your password plus the current code from your app.

Changing a password you know

Use the Account Console — from a signed-in session, open the account page (your operator can give you the direct address for your environment) and go to Account security → Signing in → Password → Update. This works entirely inside the platform; no email involved.

Forgotten password

The same two routes as for your first password apply:

  • Self-service — if the sign-in page shows Forgot password?, use it: a reset link is emailed to your registered address, and works once for a few minutes.
  • Operator-mediated — in stricter environments there is no self-service link; instead the sign-in page points at your organisation's support route. Raise a ticket, your identity is verified, and an operator sets a temporary password for you (you'll choose a new one at next sign-in).

Too many wrong attempts

After a run of wrong passwords the platform refuses sign-in for a short while, and the wait grows with each further failure. Wait a few minutes and try again before raising a ticket — and if you are unsure of your password, use the forgotten-password route rather than guessing.

Lost authenticator

If you lose access to your two-factor app, use your organisation's support route — an operator verifies your identity and resets your authenticator enrolment so you can set it up again at next sign-in.
